Project Story – Why Bathroom Remodeling Was Needed
Grace and Pat, homeowners in Palos Verdes, contacted us for a bathroom remodeling project involving two bathrooms in their home. Both spaces had serious issues with flooring and walls, and they also wanted modern furniture and fixtures.
The old natural stone floors were cracking due to a weak substructure, and the layout no longer met their needs. Our team redesigned and reinforced the structure, rebuilt one shower completely, and updated the second bathroom with a new floor, furniture, a large mirror, and recessed medicine cabinets.
This project shows how professional bathroom remodeling can solve structural issues while transforming outdated spaces into modern, stylish, and functional rooms.

Technical Features of the Bathroom Renovation
Bathroom remodeling often reveals hidden damage. In this case, we found:
- Damaged wooden framing in floors and walls.
- Old drywall weakened by past water leaks.
- Toilet seals that had lost integrity, compromising the subfloor.
- Iron pipes from the 1950s–60s clogged with deposits.

To ensure a lasting solution, we repaired the framing, installed new cement board subfloors, and applied a three-layer liquid waterproof membrane. These steps guarantee durability and protection against future water damage — an essential part of high-quality bathroom remodeling.
